What to tell us
None of this is compulsory and the form only asks for the essentials. But the more of it you can include in the message box, the closer the first answer will be to a real number.
Where you are moving from and to
Both postcodes if you have them. If the destination is not confirmed yet, a rough area is still useful.
The size of the property
Number of bedrooms is a fine starting point. Whether you are moving everything or only part of it matters just as much.
Floor level and access at both ends
Which floor, whether there is a lift, whether the stair turns, and what the parking is like. This is the single biggest factor in most Glasgow moves.
Your date, or roughly when
A fixed date is ideal. A range is fine too, and if you are flexible say so, because midweek slots are easier to find than Fridays and month ends.
Anything bulky or fragile
Pianos, safes, gym equipment, glass cabinets, artwork or anything you would be upset to lose. Flagging it early means it gets planned for rather than discovered.
Whether you want packing or storage
Full packing, fragile only, or none at all, and whether there is a gap between properties that needs bridging.
Asking costs you nothing
There is no obligation attached to a quote and no pressure afterwards. If the number does not work for you, or you decide to go elsewhere, that is a perfectly reasonable outcome and we will not chase you about it.
